Monkeys are cute… but they are criminals
At Uluwatu and Monkey Forest, they will steal your sunglasses, phones and hats. Avoid loose items — and don’t try to negotiate with them, they always win.

Do NOT drink the tap water
Even brushing your teeth — use bottled water. Bali belly is not on the wedding itinerary.

Ice is usually safe… but trust your gut
Most places use filtered ice, but if you’re somewhere a bit questionable, maybe skip the mojito roulette.

Scooters look fun… until they’re not
If you’ve never ridden one before, Bali is a bold place to learn.

Getting around
Download Grab or Gojek — cheap, easy, and avoids any “creative” taxi pricing.

Cash is king (and queen)
Most places accept card, but smaller vendors and drivers prefer cash. ATMs are widely available — just use reputable ones.

Mosquitoes love tourists
Bring repellent… unless you’re happy to donate blood.
